June 30, 2016

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University Athletics is set to begin construction on its new on-campus varsity tennis facility – the home for the men’s and women’s varsity tennis teams. The facility is scheduled to be completed fall 2016.

“The addition of our on-campus tennis facility will have a profound impact on our tennis programs” said Pat Chun, FAU vice president and director of athletics. “Our programs will thrive from its benefits. This also will be another jewel to the vibrant tennis community here in Boca Raton and all of Palm Beach County. We thank all the donors who made this dream come true for our student-athletes and coaches.”

The $800,000-facility will feature eight NCAA sanctioned hard courts with a walkway running between the courts and a shaded viewing area. It will be located just west of the FAU track complex, adjacent to the beach volleyball courts at FAU’s Boca Raton campus.
