Five individuals received special honors Thursday night at Florida Atlantic University's 2000-2001 Athletics Banquet hosted by the Deerfield Beach Hilton.
Jonas Kolstad, a men's soccer player, and Kristen Jordan, women's tennis, earned Male and Female Athlete of the Year honors while Motiejus Riemeris, men's basketball, earned the Male Academic award while Kristy Halvorsen, women's basketball earned the Female Academic honor. Chris Sutcliffe received special recognition for her five year softball career.

Football: Academic Achievement Award--Nick Seta
