“We are honored and excited to welcome back the FIFA Women’s World Cup Champions to FAU Stadium,” said Pat Chun, FAU’s vice president and director of athletics. “We are grateful U.S. Soccer continues to partner with Florida Atlantic to bring world class soccer to South Florida. The SheBelieves Cup is another important initiative to grow the women’s soccer game in our country. In the last year, the home of our football program has hosted the U.S. Men’s Soccer National Team, the Marmot Boca Raton Bowl and the reigning Super Bowl Champions New England Patriots. We will continue to strive to make FAU Stadium a sports centerpiece for our community and region.”

Additional note: The USA has played three matches, all on FAU’s Boca Raton Campus including two at FAU Stadium, a 4-1 win against China PR in 2012 and a 7-0 victory against Russia in 2014.
